Manhart Claims To Have Unlocked The Audi RS5’s Potential With Its RS500

While the Audi RS5 is by no means slow, it’s obvious that more performance can be squeezed from its 2.9-liter bi-turbo V6.

One tuner who has done just that is Manhart, who upgraded the RS5 to the tune of 500 PS (493 HP) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, an increase of 50 PS (49 HP) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) compared to the stock car.

The tuner also offers gold accents for the exterior, 21″ matte black wheels, KW coilover suspension kit and a custom exhaust system with catless downpipes.

According to the following review, the Manhart RS500 sounds the way the RS5 should have sounded all along. It’s not particularly loud if you compare it to a supercar, but you definitely get that lower-end rumble that is missing in the stock vehicle.

Another plus is, of course, the increased oomph. Even though the improvement looks modest on paper, it seems like Manhart managed to unleash the RS5’s wild side. Which, given that Audi’s high-performance coupe has received lots of flak for being too anodyne, is definitely a good thing.
