If VW’s agenda for 2018 was turned into a movie script, it would probably get directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
What we mean by that is we can expect a mixture of twists and turns regarding multiple segments, from quick city cars to crossovers, to all-electric race cars.
The first major bit of news comes from the SUV segment, where the all-new 3rd-generation Touareg will make its world premiere this spring, at the Beijing Auto Show in April. The new Touareg is said to borrow heavily from the T-Prime Concept GTE, so it should look more dynamic than its predecessor.
What will follow will be a rather busy couple of months where we’ll see the new Jetta and T-Cross roll out, followed by a new I.D model and as well as an all-electric race car aimed at tackling the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb event in Colorado.
