Volkswagen has recently revealed its new Passat CC that has been given a facelift and simply renamed the VW CC that will make its debut at the 2011 Motor Show in L.A. this month.
The new model has subtle tweaks including reshaped stainless steel side sills and a new rear bumper. Bi-xenon headlights, static cornering lights and a new LED rear headlight system come as standard. Other interesting features include safety head restraints and fatigue detection. Changes to the interior are expected to be minor.
Under the hood, every engine now has stop-start and intelligent alternator charging for economic fuel consumption. Outputs span from 138bhp to 296bhp, and all engines up to 207bhp can be specced with a DSG twin-clutch transmission. Diesel remains the same with a 2.0-litre TDI engine putting out 138bhp and 168bhp.
The VW CC will begin sales in the UK in Spring/Summer 2012 and it is expected that pricing will not change too significantly either.
