In the mid-sized and sedan horsepower wars Chrysler/Dodge has been left a little behind considering the Cadillac CTS-V packs in 556hp, the outgoing BMW M5 having 500hp (2012 BMW M5 rumored to have 600hp), the Benz E63 AMG pumping 518hp and even the Jaguar XFR has 510hp. The lesser priced Chrysler 300C SRT8 is a little behind the game with 425hp. So how do Chrysler and Dodge respond to all of this pressure? They dig in the parts bin for their beastly V10 engine borrowed from the Dodge Viper.
Recently Dodge has teased us all with a V10 powered Chrysler 300 SRT10 video. The source of the video is from Dodge’s YouTube stream so we may very-well see the Viper V10 in next year’s Chrysler 300 and possibly the new 2011 Dodge Charger sporting an SRT10 badge. Check out the video below and come to your own conclusion. Is that the sounds of 10 angry cylinders?
