If you're wondering why you've never heard about this color, it's probably because 'Lava Red' only happens to be available through BMW's Abu Dhabi dealership – or at least that's what they claim. Earlier this year, BMW itself had released a similar color for the i8 called "Proton Red" for a special limited edition.
