This is the Porsche 365 Silver Bullet Hot Rod and it is truly something special.
Custom built by Jeff Dutton in 1992, this vehicle is based on a 1955 356 Continental Coupe and 914-6 chassis with a philosophy of lightness and strength.
The Porsche has been fitted with a mid-mounted 3-litre 911 engine with Weber carburators, a 915 5-speed gearbox, 17-inch disc wheels, 718 RSK style side vents, a driver’s side mirror and engine and transmission access covers.
The interior of the vehicle has green leather bucket seats, wood trimmed steering wheel and dashboard fitted with a Telefunken radio speaker aperture. The door panels are simply polished stamped aluminum panels and some of the instrumentation has been sourced from a 911. In between the seats is an exposed shifter and ignition panel complete with a large red start button.
