The latest-generation Porsche Cayenne looks a hell of a lot better than its predecessor. But do its driving characteristics match the sleek looks?
Carlos Lago from Edmunds recently headed to Greece to jump behind the new Cayenne in Turbo trim and as you’d probably expect, was full of praise for the SUV.
Sitting at the heart of the new Cayenne Turbo is a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine delivering 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. Those figures are slightly greater than they were with the previous-generation Cayenne Turbo but that is far from the whole story.
Rather than simply making the new Cayenne Turbo faster in a straight line, Porsche has ensured that it is better in all areas, therefore installing an advanced air suspension system that adapts to the driving conditions.
Additionally, the Turbo includes a similar rear-wheel steering system to other Porsche models, allowing the SUV to take tight corners with ease while offering excellent stability at high speeds.
