If you think you have heard some amazing stories about luck, then this one will definitely top your list.

In 1989, a man from Long Island, New York, paid $100 for a storage unit. Unbeknownst to him, he had just purchased the world famous, Lotus Espirit from James Bond.

The car, one of Bond’s many famous rides, was used in the 1977 film, ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. The Lotus had been sitting in a New York container for years, after the film wrapped.

The lucky man certainly didn’t feel lucky at the time – the car had no wheels and a dented hood. It had no wheels because when it was used in the film, it was once fitted with fins.

The now owner of the legendary 1977 Lotus Esprit S1, only realized the magnitude of his lucky find after clarification over CB radio chatter.

The New York Post Report has reported that the car is now on it’s way to the RM Auction in London on the 9th of September.

It is predicted that this Lotus Esprit could fetch round about $1 million at auction! If it so happens, the he Long Islander’s investment of $100 will grow quite a bit!

Another famous bond car, the 1964 Aston Martin from ‘Goldfinger’ fetched an astonishing $4.6 million at auction.

This truly is a tale of straight forward luck – and the soon to be millionaire Long Islander can thank his lucky stars he purchased THAT container!
