For you day-dreaming car enthusiasts who often visit the home pages of exotic vehicle manufacturers, you can now rest easy in knowing the Lamborghini homepage is now back up but introducing a new “extreme” Gallardo dubbed the LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale.
The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale attempts to capture some of the Aventador’s thunder and channel it through the most aggressive and extreme Gallardo from Lamborghini S.p.A. yet.
The LP570-4 Super Trofeo name refers to the one make Lamborghini racing series designated for the Gallardo inspired from the LP570-4 Blancpain Edition, a tribute to Italy’s racing tradition. The Stradale part means that the Super Trofeo is a road-going version.
We could be witnessing Lamborghini introducing several special edition versions of the Gallardo before it is replaced by a newer model. It is similar to what they did with the Murcielago leading up to the introduction of the Aventador.
The vehicle weight is said to be 2,954 pounds with power directed to all four wheels from a 570-horsepower V10 engine. 0-62mph times should come in around 3.4 seconds.
From the looks of things, aside from the Italian Rosso Mars red paint job, the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale has several carbon fiber bits and trim pieces to aid in downforce at racing speeds. Reportedly, there will be only 150 fine examples of the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale made worldwide.
Look for an official introduction of the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale in the flesh at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this week.
