It is a proud day in America and at General Motors as the Chevrolet brand takes home both the 2014 North American Car and 2014 North American Truck/Utility of the Year awards with the new Corvette Stingray and Silverado. This announcement kicks off the 2014 Detroit Auto Show as our peers and auto journalists from all over the world embark on one of the most exciting and highly anticipated automotive shows of the year.

The bowtie brand keeps the forward momentum moving for General Motors as last year’s crown for North American Car of the year was awarded to the new Cadillac ATS. This year, while we thought the all-new Cadillac CTS, Mazda3 or the new Acura MDX was going to take the win home, we are just as happy with the outcome having the all-new Corvette Stingray and Silverado win.
