The latest gossip from the German media suggests that Audi is plotting a new sports car to fill the gap between the TT and the R8.
Coming from a video published by AutoBild, which is referring to one of its stories in the next print edition, the report has no solid basis and we’re taking it with a grain of salt, especially since there have been numerous rumors leading into this direction over the years and none of them materialized.
However, the latest info suggests that the “baby R8” has an internal codename, PO455, and it should be underpinned by the same platform as the next generation Boxster and Cayman. Unlike the rear-wheel drive, flat-four Porsches, though, it will be AWD and use inline four- or five-cylinder engines.
