After teasing us with their sneaky teaser clips, Audi has finally revealed the much anticipated, all new, Audi S1.
The reveal is also way ahead of it’s planned debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March – but it seems that Audi fans worldwide (and perhaps Audi themselves) couldn’t wait to see the S1 out in the open.
The S1 is sort of a variation of the Limited Edition Audi Quattro. The company had promised that they would be designing and manufacturing a car that will be the production model of the Quattro – enter the S1.
At first glance, there are (obviously) striking resemblances between the S1 and the A1. However, there is something rather cheeky and a bit more sexy about the S1. It is also Audi’s smallest car.
The S1 features a 2.0 liter turbo-four engine, which packs quite the punch at 228 horsepower. Furthermore it has 272 lb-ft of torque.
It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox with a Haldex-style clutch and a 4-wheel drive system. The S1 goes from 0-100 in 5.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250km/h.
It really is a sleek little thing, see for yourself below:
