The new BMW 1M Coupe may not be the fastest sports car in a straight line. For many years enthusiasts realized straight-line performance was not BMW’s niche. However, we know that BMW knows a thing or two about perfect balance enabling their M-Motorsport vehicles to out-handle the competition around a racetrack.
In a recent Nurburgring run, automotive enthusiast Andre de Vries (known as ‘AdvEvo’ on many popular automotive forums incl. 1addicts.com), strapped himself in a new BMW 1M Coupe with JRZ suspension and Michelin PS2 tires to tail a new BMW M3 GTS around the ring to complete a Bridge to Gantry (11.9 miles) run. He claims to have posted a Bridge to Gantry run around the Green Hell in 7 minutes 45 seconds. For proof of the run, hit up the exclusive video below.
