2018 Kia Stinger Gets A Big Thumbs Up From Kelley Blue Book

If you’re on the lookout for a practical yet sporty grand tourer that’s also great value for money, the Kia Stinger might fit the description perfectly.

The latest review of the 2018 Stinger comes from Kelley Blue Book, and is full on the superlatives. According to the reviewer, the only downsides he found on the Stinger were the thick rear pillars and the infotainment display, specifically the fact that it was positioned a little too far away from the driver.

Otherwise, inside the Stinger you’re treated to high levels of practicality and connectivity, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available, plus leather seats as standard – although if you want the luxury of hand-stitched nappa leather, you need to pay extra for it.

In the back, while leg room is fine, as everyone has pointed out, taller people will struggle with headroom due to the slopping roof – a clear case when form didn’t follow function and a small sacrifice was done in favor of styling.

As for performance, the 3.3-liter V6 is the engine of choice, as it’s not just faster but smoother, too, than the base 2.0-liter turbo.

In the end, what makes the Stinger stand out in a crowd is undoubtedly the fact that it ticks all the right boxes. It’s a sporty looking, high-value sports sedan that’s also practical, solidly built and well equipped – plus it undercuts its posher rivals. What’s not to like?
