These days BMW’s new series nomenclature is about as of a mixed bag as your child’s upcoming Halloween trick-or-treat candy bag. The new series vehicles, such as the 2 series, fill gaps that some people didn’t know existed. Probably to stay true to their German counterparts’ actions, BMW is getting into the fulfillment of every segment of car world even if such a segment didn’t exist. In comes the all-new 2015 BMW 2 series with the performance variation being the M235i, which has had its official photos leaked onto the internet today.

The 2015 BMW M235i is said to get a price tag under $50,000 and be powered by the German automaker’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder set to produce about 322 horsepower. This should be enough to launch the 3,200 pound vehicle to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds.

The new M235i, although not a true M car like the M3/M4, M5, M6, still will be a highly-sought-after vehicle sporting 50/50 weight distribution, an 8-speed automatic transmission and that BMW finesse enthusiasts have enjoyed for a long time now.
