Video: 2013 Cadillac ATS Promises to be “Outstanding”

Already, the current Cadillac CTS and CTS-V have shocked midsized luxury sports-sedan vehicle segment consumers especially for diehard enthusiasts considering how the CTS-V was touted as the fastest production sedan around. With the introduction of the new ATS, to compete directly with the likings of Audi’s A4, BMW’s 3 Series and Benz’s C Class, GM’s North America President Mark Reuss promises it to be an “outstanding car from a dynamic and performance standpoint”. Sure, we believe him, but how does that terminology stack up against the competition?

The new 2013 Cadillac ATS will be based off of the Alpha platform and direct its turbocharged 4-cylinder engine power to the rear wheels. All-wheel-drive will be an option also while a performance oriented ATS-V model is expected to be powered by new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 380 horsepower. Now all we need to know is how much is this ATS-V going to tip the weight and price scales.
