Chevrolet will unveil its all-new Silverado Class 4 and 5 chassis cab trucks in Indianapolis at the 2018 Work Truck Show, taking place March 6-9.
The two trucks will be available as regular as well as crew cab models, with both 2WD and 4WD capability, plus a wide range of GVWRs and wheelbases. They are expected to go into production in late 2018.
Doing the pulling will be the pairing of Duramax diesel power with the Allison transmission, while creature comforts such as OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi will aid connectivity.
“The Silverado 4500HD/5500HD trucks are the flagship of our full-line commercial truck portfolio and we’ve designed them to be among the best in the industry in maneuverability, serviceability, visibility, quietness and comfort, diesel fuel economy and more,” said GM Fleet VP, Ed Peper.
Since additional technical specs will only be made available in March, the least we can do for now is shine more light on the teaser image, revealing a very imposing front end.
