Dodge Journey 2011 Gets Cosmetic Touches; Details Revealed

Dodge’s work on the Journey 2011 seems to be over and following the facelift that the vehicle received, the company has released details about what the procedure entailed.

The tweaks on the model include new bumpers, the popular LED taillights that resemble the ‘ring of fire’; put that together with 19” alloys and a revised grille and you have a better looking Journey!

A big part of the change has taken place inside the vehicle – the cabin has been totally redesigned and now has a new dashboard, new seats with soft-touch armrests, a different instrument cluster, and a spanking new steering wheel. There is also a new steering system in place; the suspension has been retuned which makes for better handling and responsiveness.

As for the heart of the vehicle, there’s been a bit of surgery there too – the old 3.5-liter V6 engine has been transplanted with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. The new engine produces 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque – 48 hp (36 kW / 49 PS) and 28 lb-ft (38 Nm) more than previous engine.

Dodge has not said a word about pricing for the Journey 2011, but reports say that the vehicle will be on sale this year.
