Infiniti’s 2019 QX50 Takes On BMW X3 From $36,550, On Sale This Spring

Since the 2019 QX50 crossover won’t make it into Infiniti retailers nationwide until Spring 2018, the automaker is also introducing a new reservation program.

This gives customers the opportunity to reserve their car during the pre-launch phase, but also to receive tech, audio or home-themed luxury gifts as the reservations increase.

“The 2019 QX50 is one of the most significant product launches in INFINITI’s history, which is why we created a reservation program as sophisticated and innovative as the vehicle itself,” said Infiniti marketing exec, Phil O’Connor.

“We know that our customers want more than just material things, they want meaningful experiences. That’s why the rewards are more than just incentives. The gifts are well-suited for the luxury lifestyle, and the reservation program is designed to help build a sense of community.”

The program has been split up into tiers, so that the more people who reserve a car, the greater these incentives will be. The first tier has already been unlocked as reservations exceeded 4,000. The second tier will be unlocked at 8,000 reservations, while the third tier needs 12,000 reservations.

Prices for the all-new 2019 QX50 start at $36,550 if you go for the Pure FWD model, and will climb all the way to $45,150 for the flagship Essential AWD version.

On-board the QX50 you’ll find the available ProPILOT Assist as well as the first FWD application of Infiniti’s Direct Adaptive Steering system. Additional tech includes Distance Control Assist, Back-up Collision Intervention, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.

As for what’s underneath the hood – it’s the world’s first production-ready variable compression ratio engine, the 2.0-liter VC-Turbo petrol.
