Track-Focused Crown Vic Is Ready To Serve, Protect And Entertain

While the Ford Crown Victoria isn’t exactly known for its racing prowess, this 2008 Interceptor looks just about ready to do exactly that.

What you’re looking at here is a heavily modified car, with a stripped out interior and multiple chassis and handling upgrades courtesy of Maximum Motorsports, Energy Suspension and Tokico.

The result is something that absolutely blew The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah away with its steering feel, grip and high-revving nature. In fact, as soon as he got on the road, the word “NASCAR” immediately came out of his mouth.

He also used superlatives like “fat Miata”, “awesome” and “shockingly good”, which is quite an achievement considering how the engine was left mostly stock and the amount of horsepower produced wasn’t all that impressive.

The only thing missing from this Crown Vic, so to speak, was the rear seat, which could have made this car both fun and practical.
