Mercedes-Benz has opened the order books for the new generation CLS in the United Kingdom, where customers can choose from one of three models available.

The most affordable one is the CLS 350d 4Matic AMG Line, which carries a £57,510 (equal to $76,897) price tag and comes with 19-inch wheels, Agility Control suspension, parking package, and reversing camera, alongside the leather upholstery, dual displays, DAB radio, and ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colors.

The entry-level comes with a 286PS (282hp) and 600Nm (443lb-ft) of torque 2,925cc inline-six diesel engine, whereas the CLS 400d 4Matic AMG Line uses the same unit, but with more power: 340PS (335hp) and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque, and costs at least £60,410 ($80,774).

The only petrol-powered version is the CLS 450 4Matic AMG Line, with its 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six unit and a 40-volt inline starter generation, rated at 367PS (362hp) and 500Nm (369lb-ft) of torque, with an additional 22PS (22hp) and 250Nm (184lb-ft) of torque available via the EQ boost system. Pricing for this model start at £57,610 ($77,030).

Each member of the new Mercedes-Benz CLS family can be fitted with the Premium Plus equipment line, on request. It costs £3,895 ($5,208) and adds an electric sliding sunroof, 360-degree camera, Comand Online infotainment, electrically adjustable front seats and steering wheel, memory package, and keyless go comfort package.

Priced at £2,495 ($3,336) is the Comfort package, which can be specified in conjunction with the Premium Plus, adding Air Balance, Air Body Control air suspension, Energizing comfort control package, and black nappa leather upholstery.

Rounding up the list of optional extras is the Driving Assistance Plus package, which brings “the latest in driving assistance technology, as recently launched in the new S-Class“, according to Mercedes, such as the route-based speed adaptation, and costs £1,695 ($2,266).
