Bugatti Shows Off The 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse: Video

Bugatti’s latest model of Veyron is the open-air 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, which packs 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound feet of torque. That’s enough to get the roadster from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.6 seconds, on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 233 miles per hour.

Like all Bugattis, production is limited and pricing is enough to make Bill Gates wince. The custom-painted Grand Sport Vitesse shown at Pebble Beach, for example, carried a sticker price of 1.74 million euros, or roughly $2.23 million. If you could get zero percent financing for 60 months, that translates a monthly car payment of $37,167, which doesn’t include the similarly high cost of maintenance.

Bugatti recently sponsored a press drive in the new Grand Sport Vitesse for “select” U.S. media, which oddly didn’t include us (in fact, we know a lot of people in the industry, and can’t name a single invitee). The result was this video, filmed north of New York City on the winding roads of Westchester County. Enjoy.
