Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 Ready

Aston Martin has announced their new V12 Vantage GT3, which will replace the DBRS9 model. The DBRS9 had been a very successful GT3 racing car, and has been a  successful presence for more than six years now. Aston Martin has come up with the new V12 Vantage GT3 by bringing years of experience in this category. The automobile eyes the 2012 racing season.

The model has been incorporated with the latest race technology to continue Aston Martin’s success in GT3 for many years to come. The new Vantage GT3 racer of 1250 kg (2,755 lb) is based on the V12 Vantage model.

It comes featured with a 6.0-liter V12 engine under the hood. The engine is expected to churn out 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a semi-automatic transmission. The first car is slated to be built in the coming July.

Only scarce details have surfaced as of now, but we guess more info might flow out of the carmaker’s assembly line space very soon.
