Hyundai, pronounced like “Sunday”, won’t be going for a slow Sunday drive in its new 2011 Equus and Genesis sedan because they will both be packing 429 Horsepower from a 5.0-liter Tau V8.
The Hyundai Genesis sedan is already a relatively quick car for its size when optioned out with the current 4.6-liter 385hp V8. Hyundai has taken that engine and beefed it up and will now be fitting it in the 2011 Genesis sedan and Equus as an option. There is also some speculation that this new direct-injection 5.0-liter V8 will make it to the Genesis Coupe which would be a Ford Mustang GT 5.0 fighter among others in the same segment.
