2012 Audi A6 Wraps Go Off at NAIAS

Audi has unveiled the 2012 Audi A6, a sedan version of the A7 Sportback, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.  The car’s interior offers extra room as the wheelbase has been stretched to measure 2910mm long. The highly stylized cockpit features 1,300-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and MMI navigation plus with internet connectivity.

The most exquisite aspect of the vehicle is that it is available in five different engines. The 2.0 TDI produces 130 kW (177 PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, which allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and top out at 228 km/h (142 mph).

The 3.0 TDI V6 produces 150 kW (204 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque allows the   car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. A second version of the 3.0 TDI churns out 180 kW (245 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque enables acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.

The petrol engine of 2.8 FSI V6 with 150 kW (204 PS) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque engine allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.

The 3.0 TFSI V6 which produces 220 kW (300 PS) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque enables the car to run from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The 2012 Audi A6 will be available for €38,500 in Germany.
