F-Type Coupe

If these spy shots are anything to go by, then supercar manufacturers might want to pull up their socks and get ready for when the Jaguar F-type Coupe finally arrives.

Currently, the fabulous F-type is only available as roadster while Jaguar continue to fine tune the finishing touches on the roadsters sibling, the coupe.

The official debut for the F-type Coupe is scheduled in just a couple of weeks time – at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

There have been many rumours doing the rounds n exactly what the F-type Coupe will have in store for us.

However, one rumour that is definitely worth extra attention is that Jaguar are also planning a F-Type R-S Coupe.

And luckily for us, with these spy shots obtained by CarBuzz, we now have solid proof that Jaguar is, in fact, building an F-Type R-S Coupe.

A prototype for the much anticipated car was seen doing some early testing, although the actual production version is still at least a year away.

We can also be sure that this is not a standard F-Type Coupe because of one simply fact: the brakes. The yellow calipers are bigger than those that you would expect to find on a standard F-Type Coupe.

The sneaky photographer who got these shots, also claim that the words “Jaguar Carbon Ceramic” were stamped on them.

Another thing that gives us the inkling that this is NOT a standard F-Type Coupe, is that this specific F-Type has cross-drilled brake rotors, something that is not visible on the present F-Type.

Also, Jaguar has placed extra camouflage on the air intakes and on either side of the front bumper.

What to expect from the F-Type Coupe’s engine? Well, something quite amazing. We can expect to see a supercharged V8 from the S model in there, but the output will most likely be increased from 495hp to around 550hp.

If, in fact, the F-Type Coupe ends up with around 550hp, it will put itself in direct competition with Porsche’s 911 Turbo. This will make a rather big impact on the supercar world, which then begs the question: Jaguar or Porsche?

You decide!

Arrinera has shown off its super car in two new videos. Going by what we see, the car’s design appears to draw inspiration from the Lamborghini models.

However, this Polish super car features a tubular steel chassis, a lightweight carbon Kevlar body and 19/20-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the cabin looks luxurious, and is outfitted with the latest premium leather upholstery, aluminum accents, carbon fiber trim and a thermal-imaging system.

Motivation is derived from a mid-mounted, supercharged 6.2-liter V8 power train. We guess this is probably borrowed from the Corvette ZR1, and gives an output to 638 hp (476 kW / 647 PS) and 819 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque.

The automaker plans to release the market edition of the super car by late 2012. The Arrinera Super car is likely to debut simultaneously in Europe, China, the Middle East and theUnited States. Stay tuned.

The upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show will witness the debut of  Lamborghini’s new super car. An invite sent out by the company hints at that. The car maker has, however, kept the details under wraps. Chances are that the car could either be the earlier spoken about Sesto Elemento or the Aventador Roadster. If we try to match rumors that suggested that the Sesto Elemento was likely to be unveiled around October with production numbers limited to 10 or 20 units, we might be able to zero in on that model.

The Aventador Roadster, meanwhile, had also hit headlines after having already procured an EPA sticker. The super car with a 6.5-liter V12 with 700 PS (515 kW / 690 hp) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque could be a possibility.

Besides these, we had also seen a leaked Lamborghini roadmap that pointed at the possibility of a LP550-2 Spyder gearing up for debut by 2011-end.

We aren’t sure as to which one will arrive in Frankfurt. When it comes to Lamborghini, we can expect top-notch performance and an exquisite design. The invite shows the sports super car will be presented to the world on the 13th of September at the Lamborghini stall at Frankfurt.

Lexus LFA vs Nissan GTR: Who’s The Fastest? 27

Fancy what happens when you put the Lexus LFA and a Nissan GTR on a test track?  This is exactly what the guys at MotorTrend did. Pitting the Lexus LFA against almost compatriot Nissan GTR is sure to throw up interesting results. Amazing results ensue, indeed, we got to see.

The super car-like Lexus LFA, which is to come for around $400,000, has proved that it’s the best on track by finishing a notch ahead of the Nissan beauty over the quarter mile. The performance of the Lexus LFA may be attributed to the 10 year’s worth of research and development that had been on at the Lexus stables in Japan.

The 553 hp V10 Yamaha manufactured engine under the hood could be something to die for, don’t you think? A top speed of 202 mph is what you get from the LFA’s 4.8-liter, Formula-1-derived, 552-horsepower V-10.

Along the test track, the Lexus LFA might  seem like it lacks the pull compared to what the Nissan GTR boasts of, but it still impresses with a table flat torque curve, with 90% of max delivered before 4000 rpm, according to MotorTrend.

The quarter mile gets dumped in just 11.8 sec @ 123.7 mph, as against the Nissan GTR’s 11.9 sec @ 120.1 mph. That is indeed telling isn’t it? If you aren’t convinced watch the video below.

What you see here are pictures of the Izaro GT-E, which is expected to roll out on to our streets either as an all-electric car or a hybrid. An absolute super car that is waiting to come, the Izaro GT-E  is tipped to come with capabilities that would let it race to 100 km/h in less than four seconds!

The maker of the vehicle seems to be nursing dreams of giving it a top speed of 280 km/h, aided by the nearly 500 horsepower in electric motors, or a 416 hp (310 kW) hybrid power plant.

The car’s weight – measuring just around 1000 kilos – would enhance the car’s dream of racing to such top speed levels. Cutting down the weight would be the aluminum, magnesium and aerospace-capable steel exteriors.

The Izaro GT-E would sport batteries that permits for a 250 km range. When it comes to the hybrid, it would go 690 km without even thinking of a pit stop somewhere in between. Izaro Motors is likely to drive out the car with a tag that would read something between €55,000 and €60,000.

Spy cams at Nurburgring seem to be never disappointed. A few pictures of the Lotus Evora S are now splashed across the web even as the car gets set for full load of testing before it formally launches on to one of those stands at the Paris Show on September 30 for a debut.

The Lotus Evora S, from what we get to garner, is a supercharged 2+2 that will get showcased at Paris alongside the Evora automatic version that sports a dual-clutch gearbox.  It has been confirmed that the Lotus Evora S and Evora Auto will see the wraps lifted off them at Paris.

From what we see from the spy cam pictures, the Lotus Evora S could well be one of those super cars that would sail on performance tires blended around lightweight wheels.  It is being speculated that the car’s supercharger will pump in added performance levels to the 3.5-liter V6 engine  incorporated under the hood.
