2014 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sparks Sarcasm-Filled Review 28
Nov
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Cadillac, Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Videos, Funny, reviews, video on 11 28th, 2017

If your idea of a cool ride that can fit you and your entire entourage is the previous-generation Cadillac ESV, then you’re probably still hung up in the mid-2000s.

To be fair, you’re looking at a popular car, regardless of how you might feel about it. The Escalade ESV has long been a staple of not just pop culture but luxury SUV culture in general in the U.S. Of course, that doesn’t mean it gets a pass on the RegularCars YouTube channel.

“NFL championship rings rolled across your heated steering wheel,” is the type of thing you can safely assume about this type of car. Still, we won’t go as far as to comment on that “entourages of high skirts” jibe.

But you probably get the picture, if you hadn’t already. The Escalade ESV, old or new, isn’t the type of car you buy as a sensible family SUV, especially when you can get a Chevy Suburban for less money.

According to this reviewer, the Escalade, as long as you get it used, is the official car for “ballin’ on a budget”, which is a contradiction in and of itself.

We reckon there’s plenty to laugh at or agree with in this video, so we’ll just let you enjoy the jokes and who knows, perhaps even the car.

Cadillac Offers $5,000 Off An Escalade To Tackle New Lincoln Navigator 8
Nov
Posted by Michael Karkafiris in Cadillac, Cadillac Escalade, Ford, GM, Lincoln, Lincoln Navigator, Reports on 11 8th, 2017

Cadillac is targeting Lincoln customers with its latest offer on the Escalade, as the new Navigator starts to roll out nationwide.

Any customer that will trade in a 1999 or newer Lincoln model will get a $5000 discount on a Cadillac Escalade, according to Bloomberg which confirmed the offer with GM.

This marks the beginning of an aggressive strategy for Cadillac which understandably wants to defend its dominant luxury SUV against the all-new Lincoln Navigator. Ford is also launching the new Expedition, which is also expected to steal some of the market share GM enjoys in the segment.

Lincoln’s new Navigator starts at $73,250 (including shipping) and comes packed with 75 new features, including WiFi hotspot and clever assist and packaging systems. The 2018 Cadillac Escalade starts at $75,290 (including shipping) and the $5,000 incentive can be grouped with several other deals the company is currently offering to either a purchase or a lease.

Ford’s desire to steal market share from GM in the really profitable full-size SUV segment isn’t a secret. “The profit pool is enormous for these large, body-on-frame SUVs,” Bob Shanks, Ford’s CFO, said earlier this year. “Right now, General Motors gets a disproportionate share of that. We can do better.”
