The Fast & Furious movie franchise will never be the same with the unfortunate death of Paul Walker. Many of you have seen the eerie funeral scene as a preview for the Fast & Furious 7 film via your Blu-ray copy of Fast & Furious 6. It seems the script has been re-touched and will retire Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner.

We were tipped off on some new footage of Fast & Furious 7 recommencing their filming, which is now taking place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with a Ferrari 458 Italia ripping up the streets with the police behind it.

Rumors have said that footage already captured with Paul Walker will make it to the movie but the script will gracefully write his character out of the picture. It should be an interesting plot to say the least.

The 7th installment of the Fast & Furious franchise is certainly going to be a bittersweet movie with the unfortunate death of Paul Walker. Of course, that does not stop up from partaking of the automotive goodness that the Fast & Furious movies will naturally keep on giving us. It seems a preview clip of the movie, which is said to still be in production (filming), is actually available via the Blu Ray movie for Fast and Furious 6 through download. Vin Diesel previously released photos of this very clip some time ago on his Facebook page. It is rather creapy in a way but it gives us a premise to the upcoming film, which will as some point be without the late Paul Walker. The release date is actually set for 2015, not 2014 as originally thought up before Walker’s untimely death.  Enjoy!

It would be a blast to storm down the street in Batman’s Tumbler, a vehicle you have seen on the big screen in the latest Batman movies. For Jay Leno, he has a blast just about every day by driving something “different” within his vast collection of cars. Though, today is a little different as he gets behind the wheel of one of the actual Batman – ‘The Dark Knight’ Tumbler vehicles and takes it for a ‘test drive.’

For something that costs nearly a cool million to build and weighs a couple tons, it is pure excitement that deserves someone like Jay to express a unique characterization of such a vehicle.

Enjoy the full test drive video below!

If you haven’t heard by now, the upcoming Transformers 4 movie is to get the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and new 2014 Corvette Stingray added on to the cast of vehicles. Michael Bay, continuing to make Transformers movies, is known for his love of cars so this news sounds to ring true as we expect the Veyron to be part of the Decepticons. Also, a new rig is used for Optimus Prime supplied by Western Star, a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America.

Audi Returns As A Co-Star In Iron Man 3: Video 7

Product placement in movies is big business, since nothing sells goods like more eyes seeing them. This holds true regardless of the product, which is why automakers are scrambling to get their wares up on the big screen, next to soft drinks and portable electronics.

If you saw The Avengers, which also featured the Tony Stark / Iron Man character, you know that Acura-branded vehicles were prevalent throughout the film. The latest Die Hard movie, A Good Day To Die Hard, was very close to an infomercial for Mercedes-Benz, as some 14 different three-pointed-star models were used in filming.

Audi had something of a minor role in earlier Iron Man films, and it looks like the four-ring brand will be back in Iron Man 3. Tony Stark (or Robert Downey Jr., playing the character) is seen behind the wheel of an Audi R8 e-tron, while his significant other Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) drives an Audi S7 Sportback.

As far as we know, that’s about it for Audi product placements in the film, which promises to be even darker than the first two installments. Just as in the first two films, Tony Stark faces near-insurmountable obstacles on his quest to lead a semi-normal life, and Marvel Studios promises an answer to the question, “does the man make the suit, or does the suit make the man?”

Like me, you may be a bit undaunted by yet another Fast And The Furious movie franchise film dropping in theaters later this year. But let’s be honest, it is good entertainment with a bunch of cool cars at best for some of us. Moreover, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and the rest of the communal cast really put on a good show for us. Being that we do not currently have any major blockbuster car-centric movies for us enthusiast, the upcoming Fast and Furious 6 will have to do. With that said, the official first movie trailer for Fast and Furious 6 will debut during the Super Bowl.

From our last ‘insider’ posts on Fast And The Furious 6, we revealed that there will be a new Subaru BRZ, matte blue BenSpora SP Engineering Tuned Nissan GT-R and it will get a May 2013 start in theaters. Maybe those details will excite you a bit, maybe it won’t. No matter, Fast and Furious 6 may very well be the best new car movie so get ready for a ride… maybe.
