In a recent Lexus Spindle Night in Odaiba Tokyo, a trio of Lexus Drive Meisters take to three new Lexus LFAs to perform a series of synchronized drifts. In an attempt to make this demonstration an eventful and daring drift ‘dance’, the 552 horsepower V10 LFAs try a few different showman drift moves. We are not quite sure what they were trying to ultimately accomplish. Maybe you can help us out here and bring some real excitement to the party with a wide crack at this dismal performance.

The upcoming North American Auto Show in Detroit is sure to be a big hit showcasing some of the most anticipated vehicles for the upcoming model years. One concept that we are eager to see is the recently announced and teased Lexus LF-LC Concept. Road & Track was the first to give everyone a look at the new Lexus LF-LC concept in its full-form. Just after Road & Tracks reveal, Lexus drops an official image of the LF-LC Concept.

We are still not sure where the new Lexus LF-LC Concept would be positioned “if” it makes its way to production. Quite possibly it could be a new Lexus LS-based coupe that will rival the BMW 6 Series and Benz SL class. Either way, what we see here is very intriguing to say the least.

Ever wondered what the instrument display (cluster) of a new $375,000 Lexus LFA looks like in action from launch all the way to 160mph? Wait no more. Check out the video below from the French magazine ‘Motorsport Magazine’ of Lexus’ Supercar doing what it does best.

The LCD dashboard instrument display is unique to the Lexus LFA, which changes appearance in respect to the selected mode. The display goes as far as to make the increments between the RPM numbers appear larger in certain modes with a white background color indicating Sport Mode. The tachometer readout even glows red as it approaches redline or the optimal shift point. The Lexus LFA is truly a remarkable vehicle and this video only captures a glimpse of is capabilities. Enjoy!

After announcing the car in May of 2010, Lexus will finally take the wraps off the LFA Nürburgring Edition at next months Geneva Motor Show. A more aggressive, track-centric version of Lexus’ supercar, the Nürburgring Edition brings you even more of a good thing. The 4.8 liter V10 gets ten more horsepower, which raises output to 562 horsepower. Shift times are reduced by 50 milliseconds, the suspension is tightened up even further and an enhanced aerodynamic package (with a less-than-subtle rear wing) is added to improve downforce and high speed stability. Only ten percent of the LFA’s production will be Nürburgring Edition variants, which means that only fifty will be built. Ever.

If you can afford the $375,000 price of admission for an LFA, the additional $70,000 needed for the Nürburgring Edition will probably seem like Taschengeld to you, but let’s just ponder that for a second. Spending as much money as a new Z06 Corvette gets you no improvement in 0 to 60 times and perhaps a marginal improvement in lap times. Sure, the aerodynamic package will help at triple digit speeds, but unless you’ve got your own personal road course to practice on, how much time will you really spend driving north of 100 miles per hour? The LFA isn’t my cup of meat, and the Nürburgring Edition is more cup, same meat. If I had that kind of money to play around with, I’d opt for a McLaren MP4-12C, and spend the $216,000 I saved driving as many of the world’s great road courses as I could. Your mileage may vary.
