There Will Be A Lot Of Drifting On The Next Episode Of The Grand Tour 10
Jan

Based on the trailer for episode two of The Grand Tour’s second season, the automotive trio of Clarkson, Hammond and May will yet again do their best to drive sideways.

The hosts will first set out to prove that apart from their well-known charm, old Jaguars can also make for strong and reliable vehicles (a questionable venture), taking three different models on a road trip across the state of Colorado.

Meanwhile, one of the three will also get behind the wheel of a custom-built offroader – the type of car that seems unafraid of any terrain.

Last but not least, the Celebrity Face Off segment will feature actors Luke Evans (Fast & Furious franchise, Clash of the Titans) and Kiefer Sutherland (24, Designated Survivor).

Episode 6 will be available on Amazon Video this Friday, January 12th.

The sixth episode of The Grand Tour Season 2 will launch on Friday and has the potential to be an absolute riot.

The episode will see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May driving three old Jaguars on a roadtrip in Colorado. The goal of the hosts will be to prove that even old Jaguars can handle challenging driving tasks.

During their escapades, the Jaguars will be forced to drive on ski slopes in a bid to avoid expensive lift passes and ski equipment. Additionally, a drag race will be performed at the highest altitude airport in the United States.

As per usual, the episode will include the Celebrity Face Off section, this time pitting actors Luke Evans and Kiefer Sutherland against each other.

Turns Out Jeremy Clarkson Isn’t As Good At Drifting As Ken Block 8

In last week’s episode of The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson set out to prove that doing what Ken Block does during his Gymkhana videos is mostly video editing, rather than pure skill.

Of course, he was painfully wrong, as proven by the segment he titled Farmkhana: Ultimate_Country_Playground, which consists of a Subaru STI getting thrashed around a farm.

The problem is, Clarkson relied mostly on editing to make his drive look epic, which did work to some extent, but all you have to do is pay close attention to a few of the details in order to see everything that’s wrong with the picture.

Not only was the show’s host stationary in some of the shots (revving the car while standing still, pressing the pedals chaotically and so on), but he also failed to drift properly through certain obstacles, which is something Ken Block certainly doesn’t need any help with.

After the segment itself, you can watch a short “Behind-The-Scenes” video, which will show you exactly what we mean. That STI has probably never felt more helpless.

Richard Hammond Ruined A McLaren 720S After Refueling It With Water 5

The Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond is clearly not having a good year, when it comes to supercars.

After his notorious Rimac Concept One crash earlier this season, which resulted in him being hospitalized and the $1 million electric hypercar being totally destroyed, Hammond did it again, only this time the victim was a McLaren.

In the latest episode of The Grand Tour, Richard Hammond had to drive two different examples of the McLaren 720s because he broke the first car by filling its fuel tank with water.

Hammond said that when the car run low on fuel at the track, he used a nearby jerry can to fill it up again, without noticing that he was adding water instead of actual fuel into the supercar’s tank.

To make matters worse, Hammond didn’t notice of his wrongdoing until it was too late; in his own words: “It was when the engine sort of let go”.

At least this time he didn’t had to be hospitalized, which is surely some sort of progress!

The Grand Tour Season 2 Episode 5 Trailer Is Filled With Action 4

This week on The Grand Tour: Jeremy gets inspired by Ken Block and wants to do one of those amazing videos, while Richard drives a small tank through a shopping mall, and James tests out a city car.

The action-filled trailer starts with Clarkson and an old Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car, which is thrashed around an English farmland in an attempt to do some Ken Block-ing controlled drifts.

In a different continent, in UAE’s Dubai, Hammond sits inside a small tank, which he uses in a luxurious shopping center, before taking it on the Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard, and on the sand dunes. This part of the show was filmed more than a year ago, and it was initially believed that Jezza was in the driver’s seat.

Meanwhile, May takes a trip to the Eboladrome test track to try out the Volkswagen Up! GTI, surrounded by flames and explosions, which he compares to “an 80s action movie”.

We also see the facelifted Volkswagen Golf GTI going against its iconic predecessor, the Mk1 Golf GTI.

Back in the studio tent, Richard Hammond and James May reveal some behind-the-scenes footage that’s described as “embarrassing”, whereas the Celebrity Face Off shows English comedian, musician, TV and radio presenter Bill Bailey, and English actor Dominic Edward Cooper, in an attempt to find “the world’s fastest person with a failed early career in a band”.

Paris Hilton Coming To The Grand Tour To Race Rory Mcllroy 29

Paris Hilton and pro Golf player Rory Mcllroy will go head-to-head on The Grand Tour’s Celebrity Face Off segment, in February.

Both guests will get to drive the Jaguar F-Type, in a bid to see which of them is faster around the show’s new track. The idea behind having Hilton and Mcllroy on, was to see which is the fastest Golfing enthusiast.

“I have always loved cars and racing,” said Paris Hilton while speaking about her lap. “Going around the track was so much fun and being able to drive that fast without having to slow down was exhilarating. By my final lap everything clicked into place and I think Rory and I will be quite close in the race.”

Mcllroy meanwhile added that lapping The Grand Tour track was an “amazing experience,” even in slippery conditions. “As a sportsman, I am fiercely competitive and I know that Paris loves cars too so it wasn’t going to be easy to drive faster than her.”

As for the rest of us, we’ll have to wait until February 8th in order to see which of the two came out on top.

The Grand Tour Season 2 Ep 4 Trailer Oozes Unscripted Action 27

The fourth episode of The Grand Tour’s second season will, for the very first time, feature no pre-arranged locations, stunts or incidents. Question is, will we laugh as much?

We’re just two days away from finding out what a high-budget car show without a script actually looks like. To kick things off, Clarkson, Hammond and May will arrive in Croatia with an Audi TT RS, an Ariel Nomad and a Fire Engine.

Meanwhile, back at the Eboladrome, Hammond will get behind the wheel of the McLaren 720S and experience its Internet-breaking hypercar-like performance.

As for the Celebrity Face Off segment, this week it will be Michael Ball versus Alfie Boe. The Grand Tour is hoping to see who is the world’s fastest classical singer with a connection to the British motor industry.

“I’ve got to say I didn’t think I’d enjoy it that much, but I had the best morning ever,” said Ball. “I went for it and I just hope I’ve beaten Alfie, that’s all I’m hoping for! I was very very competitive. I don’t think I’ve won, but if I have I won’t gloat or ever mention it ever again.”

Meanwhile, Boe stated that despite tricky conditions (wet, muddy, foggy), he still had an amazing time behind the wheel.

“I do want to beat Michael, I want to have done well and at least be credible and if Michael has beaten me than fair play, he’s a good guy and I’d be thrilled for him, but deep down inside I’d be a little disappointed in myself.”

The Grand Tour Trio Heading To Croatia In Episode 4 26

Posted by Brad Anderson in Reports, The Grand Tour on 12 26th, 2017

This coming Friday, the fourth episode of The Grand Tour’s second season will premiere on Amazon Prime and it looks set to be the perfect way to conclude 2017.

The feature film of the episode will see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May driving the Audi TT RS, Ariel Nomad, and an old Lada in Croatia, engaging in a series of challenges in the process. The idea behind the segment will be to see what the show was like if it was unscripted.

Fans of high-performance cars will be pleased to hear that ep 4 will also feature one of the fastest cars currently on sale, the McLaren 720S.

Fitted with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the 720S delivers roughly 700 hp at the rear wheels and has proven itself to be as fast as some hybrid hypercars. Despite his recent leg injury, Richard Hammond will be piloting the new McLaren at the show’s Eboladrome where it’s sure to set a blistering lap time.

Last but not least will be Celebrity Face Off, featuring classical singers Michael Ball and Alfie Boe.

Jeremy Clarkson Meets The Chiron In Next Episode Of The Grand Tour 20
Dec

We already knew that the Bugatti Chiron would be featured on the next episode of The Grand Tour. What we didn’t know was how Clarkson felt about it.

This trailer for tomorrow’s third episode of the show’s second season answers a few questions regarding not just the Chiron segment, but also what Captain Slow’s been up to with the Kia Stinger GT.

Apparently, he’s going to channel his inner-Clarkson and powerslide the Stinger around a bend in Mallorca, and also challenge Hammond to car park racing, a new sport meant to “relieve the boredom of office lunchtimes.”

The two hosts will apparently be racing using a BMW M3 and a Seat Leon Cupra and there will be some sliding around involved, which the M3 is quite good at.

Episode 3 is scheduled to air tomorrow on Amazon Prime Video.

Following the release of the first two episodes of The Grand Tour’s second season, details about episode 3 have just been announced before the show airs on Amazon Prime this Friday.

The feature film of the latest episode will see Jeremy Clarkson embarking on a European road trip in the almighty Bugatti Chiron to discover if it’s better to own a supercar than enjoy the glamor of breakfast in St Tropez, skiing in the Alps, and the dining in Turin that’s provided by jets and helicopters.

Another long-awaited review from The Grand Tour will involve James May test driving the range-topping Kia Stinger GT in Majorca to see if it really is worthy of all the hype. Additionally, episode 3 will feature a brief comparison of the Bugatti EB110 and Jaguar XJ220.

Completing the episode will be a segment dedicated to a new form of car park racing invented by Richard Hammond and James May. Celebrity Face Off starring Hugh Bonneville and Casey Anderson will conclude the episode.
