Is This The Facelifted 2019 Jeep Renegade? 22

Jeep recently gave the Renegade a host of improvements for 2018 but it appears the company is also working on a facelifted model.

Motor1 noticed a couple of images posted to Instagram by Renegadejeeps and they appear to show a modestly revised model with an updated front fascia. The styling changes are incredibly subtle but the crossover has been equipped with an updated front bumper which includes new air intakes and repositioned fog lights. Additional changes are limited but the grille has been tweaked and the model features LED headlights which mimic those on the 2018 Wrangler.

The single interior image doesn’t reveal much but it appears the cabin will largely carryover. This isn’t too surprising as the interior was recently updated with new seat fabrics, updated bezel treatments, two additional storage compartments, and a revised Selec-Terrain shifter.

Additional information is limited but the updated model is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2018. It remains unclear if there will be any performance modifications but the current Renegade is offered with a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder producing 160 hp (119 kW) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. Customers can also opt for a 2.4-liter four-cylinder developing 180 hp (134 kW) and 175 lb-ft (237 Nm) of torque.

Jeep recently released the first pictures of the 2018 Wrangler and now we’re getting a glimpse at the undisguised Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

Posted by the JL Wrangler Forums, the images confirm the model will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and adopt a unique suspension and off-road tires which will ensure the Wrangler can tackle the toughest trails of Moab.

Jeep is keeping details under wraps but a previous leak of standard equipment revealed the Wrangler Rubicon will be distinguished by a unique grille, a black fuel door cap, and red “Trail Rated” badges. The model will also have Rubicon hood decals and 17-inch alloy wheels with black accents.

Interior changes will be minor but the documents show the Rubicon will have bright accents. Drivers will also find a leather wrapped steering wheel, an automatic climate control system, and LED ambient lighting. Other notable features include USB charging ports and a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster.

Since the Rubicon is designed for off-roading, the model comes with a Rock-Trac four-wheel drive system and unique axles with a 4.10 rear gear ratio. There will also be a unique front stabilizer bar which can be disconnected and a 650 amp AGM battery.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be unveiled on November 29th at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
