Bentley Still Coy About 2019 Flying Spur, Sends It To Sweden 20
Dec
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Bentley, Bentley Flying Spur, Bentley Scoops, Scoops, Sweden on 12 20th, 2017

With the all-new Bentley Flying Spur undergoing cold testing at freezing temperatures, all that camouflage is probably there to help it keep warm.

On a serious note, the car remains very well covered up, just as any of the previous prototypes we saw, ever since it went from test mule to production body last summer.

Fortunately for us, since the Flying Spur is basically the four-door version of the all-new Continental GT, we should have a pretty good idea as to what it will look like, especially when viewed from the front.

Otherwise, this should be a very sleek and luxurious four-door saloon, not to mention massive, riding on the VW Group’s MSB-F architecture – used for both the Porsche Panamera as well as the new Continental GT. Aside from being both rear and all-wheel drive compatible (and electrified), the platform will support a wide array of electronics, from active safety systems, to modern convenience gizmos.

It should also feature the Continental GT’s fully digital and configurable instrument panel, with its 12.3-inch display, plus top notch materials such as natural leathers and hand-polished chrome accents.

Aside from a planned plug-in hybrid version, the Flying Spur’s engine range will include a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12, which already produces 635 PS (626 HP) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque underneath the Continental GT’s massive bonnet. Since the latter can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds, the Flying Spur might also manage a sub 4-second time.

The 2019 Bentley Flying Spur will make its debut sometime in late 2018.

Porsche Mission E Prototype Spotted Testing In -20 Celsius 6

Before its 2019 estimated arrival date comes about, the Porsche Mission E still has a lot of testing left to do, this time traveling to Sweden for some cold weather action.

Porsche is aiming the Mission E directly at the Model S, and we even saw some earlier prototypes testing alongside Tesla models, not to mention doing high-speed runs on the Nurburgring back in October.

Speaking of which, this prototype looks just like the one we saw at the Ring, wearing light yet efficient camouflage, plus a set of fake exhaust pipes – make no mistake, this is a fully-electric car.

In fact, we’re expecting over 600 PS coming from its electric motors, propelling you to 200 km/h (124 mph) in just 12 seconds. Porsche is also claiming that you’ll be able to do more than 531 km (330 miles) in-between charges, which should take just 15 minutes if you’re happy with an 80% fill-up.

Just like its American rival, the Porsche Mission E should also bring Level 4 autonomous driving to the table, with over-the-air updates, making ownership that much easier.

In the end, the production-ready Mission E will probably look like a toned-down version of the concept that broke cover at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s definitely missing the concept’s massive wheel arches, has a more traditional bonnet and regular doors.

Tesla Model X Stolen In Poland Right After Being Smuggled In From Sweden 20

Unlike the U.S., purchasing a Tesla Model X in Poland isn’t that easy, making the electric SUV somewhat of a unicorn in the country.

Seemingly determined to own a Model X no matter the cost, a group of thieves from Poland have gone to extraordinary lengths to steal one and vanish without a trace, local media reports.

It is understood that the Model X arrived in Poland from Sweden after being stolen. When being unloaded from the ferry, it allegedly rammed the exit barrier and drove away. Authorities were able to track the car down and place it in a guarded parking lot.

Despite these measures, thieves were able to find the parking lot, cut open the fence and steal the vehicle, all while officers shot at SUV a number of times.

It isn’t clear if the people that stole the Model X from the guarded parking lot are the same individuals who brought the car into Poland from Sweden.

RMF24 reports that police are in the process of trying to track down the car and the perpetrators.

Since BMW has yet to make an M3 using the 3-Series estate, cars like this 340i Touring with M blood running through its veins are as close as you can get to one.

You don’t have to speak Swedish in order to realize this car, for sale on Wayke, is absolutely loaded with just about everything BMW can squeeze into a 3-Series. Considering the spec, the car should have cost 903,470 krona, which is roughly $107,000, however the price was set to 799,000 kr, or $95,000.

This 340i xDrive Touring has a lot going for it. Not only does it feature an M Performance power and sound kit, but it also has M Performance brakes, 20″ wheels, rear wing, carbon fiber mirrors, Alcantara-rich interior (including the steering wheel, handbrake, armrest), carbon fiber gear lever and center console, LED door lights and quite a lot more.

As for performance, the 340i comes with 326 PS (321 HP) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque out of the factory. This car however, thanks to the power kit, has 360 PS (355 HP) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque that’s enough to get it from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in under 5 seconds.
