Rolls-Royce sells fewer vehicles than most marques. That, by and large, is by design, but even so it's sales are rising in the past few years. In 2007 it delivered over a thousand vehicles for the first time. In 2010, it topped 2,700. In 2014, over four thousand.

Rolls-Royce Wraith Spirit Of The Union Edition Celebrates The Emirates 3
Dec
Posted by Carscoops Staff in Middle East, Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls-Royce on 12 3rd, 2017

Yesterday was National Day in the UAE – marking the 46th anniversary of the union of the seven emirates into the federation that stands today. So how best to celebrate such an occasion? With a special Rolls-Royce, of course!

Commissioned by Abu Dhabi Motors – one of the largest Rolls-Royce dealerships in the world – this special-edition Wraith is “inspired by the Spirit of the Union.”

It’s done up in Infinity Black with a subtle coachline in the colors of the Emirati flag. The wheel hubs feature special red outline, and the interior’s decked out in black and white with red trim.

Of course, this being a Wraith, it’s already the most dynamic and powerful vehicle that Rolls-Royce has ever made – its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 rated at 623 horsepower. The only model with more muscle is the Black Badge version of the same, which boasts the same power rating but with 642 lb-ft of torque instead of 590.

Does Novitec’s Widebody Kit Work On The Rolls-Royce Wraith? 24
Nov
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Novitec, Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls-Royce, Spofec, tuning on 11 24th, 2017

When what is arguably the world’s most luxurious Coupe doesn’t quite cut it for you, Novitec has a few things in store that you might want to consider.

This particular Wraith, seen in Marbella, Spain by Autogespot user Damian12, is wearing Novitec’s SPOFEC Overdose kit, which includes carbon fiber fender extensions that increase the car’s width by 5 inches (12.7 cm) making it nearly 7 feet (2.1 m) wide, and a new set of 22″ alloys, while the air suspension can be lowered by as much as 1.6 inches (4 cm).

Judging the crowd’s reaction, this Wraith is one heck of a head-turner, especially for those who like widebody kits and imposing stances. It’s certainly more aggressive than a stock Wraith, but is it more elegant? We don’t think so, but everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion on that front.

Novitec will also gladly tune the Wraith’s ECU, even though we don’t know if this car is equipped with the tuner’s performance mods or not.

In any case, fiddling with the engine will boost the Wraith’s 6.6-liter V12 output by 85 PS (84 HP) and 186 Nm (137 lb-ft) of torque, for a total of 717 PS (707 HP) and 986 Nm (727 lb-ft), allowing it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds.

Murdered-Out Rolls-Royce Wraith Keeps The Party On The Inside 11
Nov
Posted by Carscoops Staff in Forgiato, Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls-Royce, tuning on 11 11th, 2017

Rolls-Royces typically leave the factory with more bling than the Player’s Ball. This one, however, takes a decidedly different approach.

The Wraith you see before you has been all murdered out in black. The bodywork, trim, grille, hood ornament… everything’s been blacked out.

Inside it’s another story, though: the cabin is trimmed out in bright orange leather, with the starlight headliner and piano-lacquer trim.

Plus as it looks, though, we can’t help but wonder what the upsized rolling stock has done to the plushy ride for which a Rolls is known. Forgiato fitted a set of its Tec 3.1 wheels, installed here in massive 24-inch diameter, with those self-centering hubs and ultra-low-profile Pirelli P Zero Nero rubber. Like the rest of the exterior treatment, though, they’re blacked out, too.

Blue And White Rolls-Royce Wraith Is Bespoke To Its Core 6
Nov
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Middle East, Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls-Royce on 11 6th, 2017

While it’s true that lots if not most Rolls-Royce Wraiths feature two-tone exteriors, sometimes we come across certain models that make the absolute best of it.

This Wraith, pictured here at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Abu Dhabi, is wearing a Salamanca Blue with English White body, while the interior has been adorned in Cobalto Blue with a Seashell contrast.

Actually, the interior technically features a tri-tone theme, since the Blue and the Seashell are joined by dark surfaces – the dashboard, center console, steering wheel. It’s quite fetching, as long as you don’t mind the color combinations.

Also worth noting is the wheels’ Salamanca Blue center and contrasting English White stripes making the car’s strong shoulder line stand out even more.

As for what the Wraith can do when it’s not sitting around looking crazy expensive, well, it puts a 6.6-liter twin turbo V12 unit to use, sending 632 PS (624 HP) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

An Anthracite Wraith Is About As Understated As A Rolls-Royce Can Get 5
Nov
Posted by Carscoops Staff in Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls-Royce on 11 5th, 2017

The craftsmen at Rolls-Royce have mastered a lot of skills, we’re sure. But their real genius is in treading the line between elegant and outlandish.

With so much chrome and presence, few (if any) could really be considered “understated” by any reasonable stretch of the imagination. But compared to some that we’ve seen – even in the same showroom – this one’s a relative sleeper.

On display at the dealership in Abu Dhabi is this Wraith, done up by the manufacturer’s Bespoke division in a deep shade of Anthracite grey. The low-key paint scheme eschews the two-tone finish that so many of its kind have embraced, complimented only by a silver coachline.

The interior represents a similar exercise in restraint, done up in two shades of tan with matte-finish wood trim. It still has that starlight headliner, though – not to mention that big chrome hood ornament. It is a Rolls-Royce, after all.
