Rolls-Royce sells fewer vehicles than most marques. That, by and large, is by design, but even so it's sales are rising in the past few years. In 2007 it delivered over a thousand vehicles for the first time. In 2010, it topped 2,700. In 2014, over four thousand.

Phantom-Based Mansory Conquistador Sticks Out Like A Sore Thumb 30
Dec
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Mansory, Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce, tuning on 12 30th, 2017

Mansory unveiled their Conquistador body kit for the Rolls-Royce Phantom more than a decade ago, and to this day, it remains one of the rarest mods you might ever see on a luxury car.

This example, spotted by Jelmer99 in Amsterdam, barely fits in the designated parking space by the side of the road. Of course, you wouldn’t want to park those massive black wheels anywhere near a curb now, would you?

So what’s different about this Phantom compared to a regular one aside from the obvious matte black paint and silver matte mirror casings? Actually, quite a lot.

For starters, there’s a body kit that consists of a custom front spoiler with LED daytime running lights, elongated grille strips, custom side skirts with aluminum flanks, a trunk lid spoiler, new rear bumper and the previously-mentioned black wheels.

Inside, it’s got a new Shadow Black leather cladding courtesy of interior specialist Glasurit to go with solid silver trim pieces instead of the petty (…) chrome ones used by Rolls-Royce itself.

Mansory has also tuned the Phantom’s V12 to deliver roughly 500 HP and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft). It’s hard to fall in love with those looks, though, isn’t it?

New Rolls-Royce Phantom Spotted In Traffic Looking Larger Than Life 20
Dec
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce on 12 20th, 2017

If you had trouble figuring out just how massive the all-new Phantom is compared to your everyday regular car, these images should offer some perspective.

This example was seen on the streets of Berlin recently, and Autogespot user LuxurySpottings was on location to capture it both on the move as well as stationary, parked behind an old Audi A3.

As you can see, the Phantom appears to be properly gigantic, so much so that you might wonder why Rolls-Royce felt the need to build an SUV as well. Then again, everyone, from Bentley to Lamborghini to Aston Martin, is entering the luxury SUV segment, which also is very lucrative – and that’s good business, no matter what purists might say. Only Ferrari and McLaren maintain that they won’t get involved, but you never know…

Anyhow, the all-new Phantom is powered by a new twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 producing 571 PS (563 HP) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. It also packs over 130 kg (286 lbs) of sound insulation, two 12.3-inch displays, laser headlights, plus a variety of different features and customization options that make it the most luxurious car in the world.

New Rolls-Royce Phantom To Celebrate Its North American Debut In Detroit 15
Dec
Posted by Michael Gauthier in Detroit-Auto-Show, Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce on 12 15th, 2017

Premium automakers typically skip the Detroit Auto Show but Rolls-Royce is bucking the trend and will stage the North American debut of the 2018 Phantom in the Motor City.

Set to become one of the star attractions at The Gallery, the Phantom was revealed over the summer and features an evolutionary design that is instantly recognizable. Despite looking similar to its predecessor, the model rides on an all-new aluminum spaceframe platform and is powered by a new twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 engine that produces 563 hp (420 kW) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.

While performance is important, the Phantom is all about luxury and it will treat owners to an upscale interior that features premium leather upholstery, wood trim, and a dizzying array of personalization options. Notable highlights include two 12.3-inch displays, an analogue clock, and front seats which have wood paneling on the back that hides picnic tables and an entertainment system.

Unfortunately, fans wanting to check out the Phantom will have to pay a pretty steep price as tickets to The Gallery cost $250 per person. However, participants will be treated to a fun-filled evening complete with fine food and a silent auction which will raise funds for the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Visitors can also checkout $10 million worth of high-end vehicles from the likes of Aston Martin, Bentley, and Ferrari.

With Rolls-Royce and contemporary music culture going hand in hand ever since the dawn of Rock & Roll, it was about time one of these artists actually recorded a track while inside a British luxury car.

MOBO award-winning musician Joseph Junior Adenuga, better known as Skepta, teamed up with Rolls-Royce to record ‘Skepta RR’ while being driven around Switzerland in the all-new Phantom.

“I want to welcome Skepta to the world of Rolls-Royce. He has shown a unique and exciting appreciation of the marque and interpreted Phantom’s credentials as the world’s quietest and most luxurious car with an exceptionally creative track and film,” said Rolls-Royce exec, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

The all-new Phantom not only features a new and proprietary aluminum space frame, but also more than 130 kg (286 lbs) of sound insulation with a two-layer 6 mm (0.23 inches) glazing.

Unveiled back in July, the new-gen Phantom is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12, delivering 571 PS (563 HP) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque to the road. The first 2018 example is set to be auctioned off at the Naples Winter Wine Festival in January.

The first 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom to roll off the production line is set to be auctioned off during the 2018 Naples Winter Wine Festival.

Organizers of the event, taking place on January 26-28 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida, will donate all the proceeds from the auction to the Naples Children & Education Foundation.

The Phantom in question recently rolled out of the British factory and is painted in Belladonna Purple and has an interior completed with Arctic White and Tailored Purple components. The highest bidder will also receive a number of wines from Napa Valley winery Alpha Omega and have the opportunity to participate in the 2019 ROBB Report Car of the Year.

Speaking about the upcoming auction, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America President Pedro Mota said, “Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is honored to leverage our position as the world’s leading luxury brand to support the children who benefit from the proceeds of this event.”
