The Jaguar F-Pace SVR Is Coming, And It’ll Probably Look Like This 30
Nov

With all the spy shots we’ve seen already, it’s an open secret that Jaguar is working on an F-Pace SVR. And this is probably pretty close to what it will look like.

Rendered by Russian designer Nikita Aksyonov, these images give us a taste of the forthcoming performance version of Jaguar’s debut crossover, amped up with all manner of go-fast upgrades.

Just look at that deep air dam, the vents in the hood, those oversized lightweight alloys, that big diffuser with the quartet of tailpipes popping out.

Of course, the F-Pace SVR will be more about what’s under the hood – and what it’ll be capable of doing – than how it looks. And we’re expecting big things: namely, Jaguar’s celebrated 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, likely in the latest 575-horsepower state of tune as we’ve seen in the F-Type SVR and XJR575.

That’d give it some serious performance credentials to take on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio – both of which offer over 500 horsepower – to say nothing of the Audi SQ5 and BMW X3 M40i.

Jaguar Reveals Black Edition Models For The Holiday Season 27
Nov
Posted by Brad Anderson in Jaguar, Jaguar F-Pace, Jaguar XE, Jaguar-XF, new cars on 11 27th, 2017

As the end of the year approaches, Jaguar has unveiled five ‘Black Edition’ vehicles in the UK.

Based on the XE, XF, XF Sportbrake, F-Pace, and F-Pace S, Jaguar’s Black Edition models come complete with a host of usually-optional features, including a reversing camera and privacy glass.

As the name suggests, all three also adopt a Black Pack exterior styling kit that includes black wheels. However, for those that don’t want black exterior paint, Corris Grey, Firenze Red, Yulong White, and Caesium Blue are also on offer.

The Black Edition trim package builds on the R-Sport versions of the aforementioned models. Consequently, all five models also adopt heated front and rear seats, heated front windscreen, and heated washer jets.

Jaguar unveiled the Black Edition models as part of its Black Event sales promotion that ran from November 24 to 26. Sales of the vehicles will continue into 2018 and won’t be limited.

We’re Starting To See Under The Jaguar F-Pace SVR’s Heavy Camo 24

Even though Jaguar are keeping their cards pretty close to the chest with the F-Pace SVR, this latest prototype offers us a better look at some of the parts that will help this SUV stand out in a crowd.

Starting with the front, the overall shape of the bumper is more obvious than before, and those large air intakes really do look like something to write home about.

There’s also a pair of air vents on the bonnet, and apparently, even on the front fenders near the doors, something very few SUVs have. As for the rear, we can see those chunky quad exhaust tips a lot more clearly than before.

Making sure the F-Pace SVR handles its business on the performance end will be JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations division, or SVO for short – they will likely be fitting the car with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 unit, possibly delivering the same 575 PS (567 HP) it does in the sporty F-Type SVR, with the help of an 8-speed automatic.

The SVR version of the F-Pace will obviously also come with bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, bigger and more aggressive wheels and undoubtedly a sportier interior as well, compared to the “lesser versions”.

As for when we can expect to see the car under spotlights, it could be this upcoming Spring at the New York Auto Show.

Jose Mourinho Took Α Day Job Building A Car 16

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho paid a visit to Jaguar Land Rover’s factory in Solihull, where he assisted factory employees in building his new car, a model number 100,000 F-PACE.

The “Special One” even wore bespoke Jaguar overalls while making his way to the factory floor where he followed his car along the production line, though not before he have a pep talk to the team.

“It was an amazing experience to visit Jaguar’s factory and see all the cars, technology and hard work that goes into developing such a beautiful car. Jaguar is a brand that I have been involved with for many years,” said the Man United manager.

“Back in 2014, I was the first UK customer to receive the F-TYPE Coupe and now to become the 100,000th Jaguar F-PACE customer is something very special.”

In 2016, Mourinho got to experience the F-PACE at a high-performance driver training experience in the Arctic Circle, on a 60 km frozen late at Jaguar’s extreme testing facility in Arjeplog, Sweden.

“It’s great to have one of the most successful football managers drive the F-PACE, our SUV that has been voted as the best and most beautiful car in the world by the 2017 World Car of the Year jury. Just like Jose Mourinho, the F-PACE is all about individual style and top performance,” is what Jaguar design boss, Ian Callum had to say.

Jaguar F-Pace SVR Gets Put Through Its Paces 14

Eager to cash in on demand for its sleek F-Pace SUV, Jaguar is developing a performance-focused variant, expected to adopt the SVR badge.

Filmed during testing on a number of occasions throughout the past 12 months, the F-Pace SVR promises to scare rivals, including the Porsche Macan Turbo and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

To do so, Jaguar Land Rover will install its familiar 5.0-liter supercharged V8, inevitably delivering over 500 hp and potentially as much as 550 hp. Such grunt should enable the SUV to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in roughly 4 seconds.

This particular prototype can be distinguished from others seen in the past as its hood has large air extractors and there’s a bespoke rear bumper and quad tailpipe setup. The V8 also sounds very familiar, although it doesn’t have all the cracks and pops provided by V8-powered F-Type models.

Expect to see the Jaguar F-Pace SVR in the first half of 2018.
