Fiat Launches Special Mirror Edition For The 500 Family 3

Fiat has opened the order books in Europe for the special Mirror series of the 500 model family.

Following the success of the 500 Mirror that launched last April, Fiat expanded the Mirror treatment to the other two 500 models, the 500X crossover and the 500L minivan.

The normal 500 Mirror hatchback is marketed as the car for Millenials, thanks to the standard Uconnect infotainment that features a high-res 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the Mopar Connect services.

Fiat has added Italia Blue to the paint options of the 500 Mirror, featuring chrome-plated accents on the front bumper, door mirrors and alloys. The Fiat 500 Mirror hatchback is available both as a hardtop and as a convertible.

The Fiat 500X Mirror features a one-of-a-kind Blue Jeans matte color, satin chrome details, 17-inch black diamond alloys and xenon headlights, as well as the special ‘Mirror’ badging. Its interior features a matching Blue Jeans dashboard fascia along with blue stitching accents.

As for the 500L Mirror, Fiat offers it in unique two-tone Venezia Blue with the roof finished in Maestro Grey, paired with chrome details and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Get Your Own Popemobile And Help A Catholic Charity 12

Celebrity provenance can add a lot to the value of a car on the open market. And for some, this might be the ultimate.

What you’re looking at is a 2015 Fiat 500L – one of two that Pope Francis used that September during a visit to the United States. The first was put up for auction almost two years ago, and now the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is putting the second up for grabs, too.

The vehicle is trimmed in dark grey metallic with a black leather interior, and equipped with a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo four mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It has just 458 miles on the odometer, leaving it in practically new condition – save for its papal use during the Holy Father’s visit to the World Meeting of Families in September 2015.

With nine days left before the auction closes, bidding on Charitybuzz (at the time of writing) stands just shy of $40,000, and has yet to meet the reserve price. Though you can pick up an ordinary new 500L for less than $21,000, the Archdiocese estimates this one’s value at $75,000. (The other one, incidentally, sold for $82,000.)

“I’m deeply grateful to Fiat Chrysler for its generosity in giving the Archdiocese of Philadelphia the two Fiats used by Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia on September 26-27, 2015,” said Archbishop Charles J. Chaput. “Our partnership with Charitybuzz provides an excellent opportunity to benefit society’s most vulnerable and marginalized members.”

Proceeds from the auction are earmarked towards the 2017 Catholic Charities Appeal – the benevolent arm of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. There’s just one catch: the buyer must agree, in writing, that the vehicle “is not represented in such a manner that would improperly or immorally reflect upon His Holiness” and “not to use the property in contravention of the moral, ethical and social teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.” So if you’re planning on using the Papal Fiat as a shuttle for Planned Parenthood or your satanic cult, better think again.

New Fiat 500L Arrives In The UK, Priced From £16,195 2

The updated Fiat 500L hits the UK market, bringing a refreshed range and more new features than meets the eye.

Fiat claims that the new 500L packs 40% new components and is introducing three separate models in the range: Urban, Cross and Wagon.

The Cross is playing the role of the pseudo-crossover, sporting specific bumpers and a skid plate, a raised ground clearance by 25mm and the new Mode Selector, which comes with Normal, Traction+ and Gravity Control modes.

Overall, the visual differences from the previous model include new LED daytime running lights, redesigned bumpers and new chrome strips all around. Fiat offers three different ways of configuring the roof in the 500L as well: body-colored, gloss black or white and matt black, while no less than 36 color combos are available.

The Wagon version of the new Fiat 500L is the longer model, offering an optional third row for carrying seven passengers and thus making it the most compact seven-seater in the market.

The engine range in the UK starts with a 95hp 1.4-liter four-cylinder petrol, followed by a turbocharged 120hp 1.4-liter unit. If you prefer a diesel, the 500L is also available with a 95hp 1.3-litre and a 120hp 1.6-liter oil burner.

Pricing for the new Fiat 500L in the UK kick off at £16,195 for the entry-level 95hp petrol version.
