Configure Your Ideal BMW X2 And Show It To Us 8
Jan
Posted by Cristian Gnaticov in BMW, BMW X2, Configurator, new cars, Reports on 01 8th, 2018

BMW’s ever-growing SUV family welcomed its sixth member at thee end of last year, the X2, which is a sportier take on the X1.

Slotting under the X6 and X4, albeit with a different roofline, it features a funkier than usual design for a BMW, and it can also be had with black plastic cladding on certain models.

All versions of the car are well equipped, including the entry-level, which gets 18-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seats, climate control, 7-speaker audio, and infotainment system, carrying a starting price of $39,395 with the $995 destination charge.

The most affordable BMW X2 is $2,500 pricier than an equivalent X1, and it carries a $3,000 premium over a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4Matic. However, compared to the larger X4, it’s $9,200 more affordable.

Play with the online configurator, available here, for a few minutes like we did, and you’ll eventually see the MSRP of the BMW X2 reaching over $50,000. That’s more than the larger X3 and X4, and it approaches the price of the new X5, which starts from $56,600 in the States.

Posted by Michael Gauthier in BMW, BMW M5, Configurator, USA on 01 4th, 2018

BMW USA has released the online configurator for the all-new M5.

Pricing starts at $102,600 and customers can select from between seven different primary colors and four BMW Individual options. Speaking of exterior options, the car comes equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels but two 20-inch sets are available for an additional $1,300.

Moving into the cabin, customers will find Silverstone Extended Merino Leather upholstery but Full Merino Leather is available for $3,500 and BMW Individual Full Merino Leather is a wallet busting $5,000. Trim choices include two aluminum carbon options as well as Fineline Ridge wood and premium choices such as Plum Brown wood and Piano black trim.

In terms of packages, customers can order the Driving Assistance Plus Package which includes blind spot detection, cross-traffic alert, and a lane departure warning system. The package also adds frontal collision warning with collision mitigation, active lane keeping assistant, and traffic jam assistant – among other things.

The $4,000 Executive Package packs on the luxury features as it includes heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats. Other additions include a four-zone automatic climate control system, a wireless smartphone charger, a WiFi hotspot, and soft-close automatic doors.

Rounding out the options are a moonroof, Apple CarPlay compatibility, and a 16-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System. Last but not least, there’s a rear-seat entertainment system and the M Driver’s Package which provides buyers with a one-day class that teaches them the basics of high-performance driving.

As refresher, the 2018 BMW M5 has a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine that produces 600 hp (447 kW) and 553 lb-ft (749 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of up to 190 mph (305 km/h).

Besides launching the configurator, BMW posted a mysterious countdown clock which says to “expect the unexpected” in five days. It’s unclear what BMW is talking about but we should find out soon enough.

The Jeep faithful can hardly wait to get their hands on the 2018 Wrangler and they’re getting one step closer as the company has released its configurator for the upcoming model.

The two-door Wrangler Sport starts at $26,995 while the four-door variant begins at $30,495. Pricing quickly climbs from there and maxes out at $36,995 for the two-door Wrangler Rubicon and $40,495 for the four-door model. When options are added into the equation, it’s not hard to hit the $50,000 mark for the range-topping off-roader.

While options vary by model, a few notable choices are the $595 Cold Weather Group which includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an engine block heater. Customers can also opt for the $1,295 Electronic Infotainment System Group which adds an Alpine premium audio system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an 8.4-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation.

Owners will also be tempted by leather seats that cost $1,495 and the $2,195 Dual Top Group which includes a three-piece hard top and a premium Sunrider soft top.

One of the more surprising options is the eight-speed automatic transmission that costs $2,000. For comparison, the previous five-speed automatic retailed for just $1,400.

Build Your Own Urus With Lambo’s Configurator And Show It To Us 6
Dec
Posted by Michael Karkafiris in Configurator, Lamborghini, Lamborghini Urus on 12 6th, 2017

Ok, so the world has a new Lamborghini SUV, or as the Italians call it a super-SUV in the form of the Urus so let’s have some fun time with its configurator, shall we?

As you can imagine, Lamborghini offers plenty of options when it comes building your ideal Urus, if there’s such a thing.

The world’s fastest SUV is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 641hp and 627lb-ft of torque. 0-62mph comes in 3.6 seconds while the Urus won’t stop accelerating until it reaches 190mph (305km/h).

There’s a rear-wheel steering system to aid stability at higher speeds and boost agility on the corners, as well as six drive modes to choose depending on the road’s surface and mood.

The striking styling might be too much for some people but hey, it’s a modern Lamborghini and if the Urus is needed for the company to keep churning out crazy supercars, then it’s ok.

Build your own Urus on Lamborghini’s official configurator here, just don’t opt for the Parrot-Green alcantara option, we beg you.
