Since the BMW M3 is by definition a super-sports sedan, you can't really call it a sleeper, can you? However, with 900 horses on tap, this particular E90 model could take just about anyone, and anything, by surprise.

Just Another Night In Russia: Man Steals Armored Personnel Carrier And Crushes A Daewoo 10
Jan
Posted by Michael Gauthier in Film, Offbeat News, Police, Reports, Russia, video on 01 10th, 2018

Smash and grab robberies aren’t too uncommon but one is Russia is getting a lot of attention because the driver used an armored personnel carrier.

While APCs aren’t exactly a dime a dozen, Reuters is reporting the vehicle was stolen from a motorsports training facility by a drunk man in his late 20’s. After stealing the armored personnel carrier, the man reportedly drove the vehicle through a forest before arriving in the town of Apatity which isn’t too far from the Finnish border.

Despite its remote location, the town is home to around 60,000 residents and has narrow streets which apparently proved pretty challenging for drunk in an APC. As a result, the man ended up crushing a Daewoo and slamming into the window of a convenience store.

Reports say the man then excited the vehicle and briefly looked at the damage. He then walked into the store, through the broken window, and apparently stole a bottle of wine.

The man was eventually arrested without incident and locals reportedly didn’t seem too shocked by the events that occurred earlier today.

Speeding Audi A8 T-Bones Hummer Limo, Both Drivers At Fault? 5
Jan

Despite the Audi having the right of way, had it not been speeding, the Hummer might have had time to clear the intersection.

That’s not to say that whoever was behind the wheel of that old A8 was more to blame than the limo driver. The latter should have paid more attention, without assuming that any incoming traffic would stick to the speed limit.

However, it almost seems as though the driver of the Audi didn’t brake as hard as they could/should have once they noticed the Hummer poking its nose where it didn’t belong.

This crash is a perfect example of why people should slow down at intersections, even if they have the right of way, have a green light and even if they’re not speeding. You never know who’s out there not paying attention.

As for the impact itself, we could call it moderate. Let’s hope the person driving the Audi was wearing a seat belt.

750HP Audi RS6 Puts A Decent Fight Against 1,200HP Mercedes-AMG CLS 16

Despite this Audi RS6 packing a lot of extra muscle on top of its already impressive stock power figure, it still looks like it’s about to get a real whooping from this 1,200 HP CLS 63.

On paper, you could say this race is beyond unfair. Besides, it’s not as if the RS6 has some type of weight advantage to make up for how many horses it’s missing compared to its opponent.

Thanks to its GAD Motors tune, the CLS 63 in question is putting down a monstrous 1,200 HP, whereas the RS6 is good for 750 HP, spurred on by Gosha Turbo Tech’s GTT750 kit.

Expecting this race to end in a victory for the RS6 is completely unrealistic, which is why we didn’t bother keeping the result a secret from you. Yet, one would also expect the Mercedes to run circles around the Audi, after all, we’re talking about a 450 HP difference on two cars that weigh about the same.

Sure, if this drag race would have gone on longer, the CLS would have had time (and room) to put several seconds between itself and the RS6. Yet, they both ran a 10-second 1/4 mile.

Russian Firm Is Developing A Flying Sports Car, Promises A Late 2018 Launch 3

Posted by Brad Anderson in Flying Cars, Russia, Tech on 12 3rd, 2017

Although flying cars are on the verge of becoming a reality, they aren’t exactly what futurists predicted a few decades ago. Rather than looking like a traditional car, they’re generally nothing more than a small aircraft with wings that can fold up and four wheels for use on the street.

Nonetheless, a small Russian company claims to be working on its own flying car and it will actually look like a fairly normal car. The company, Yagalёt, claims that its low-flying sports car will use hovercraft technologies to enable it to effectively float in the air. It might not reach true aircraft heights, but the company says the hover feature will allow it to glide over a range of surfaces, including water.

The design of the vehicle itself is simple and, while it might not be ground-breaking, doesn’t look half bad.

Yagalёt claims it will have a functioning prototype within the next 12 months, which sounds rather ambitious, though non unfeasibles, so we’ll just have to wait and see if they deliver on their promises.

TopCar’s Panamera Stingray GTR Comes With Loads Of Carbon And A €235,000 Price Tag 28

This fully-loaded 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo has been fitted with TopCar’s Stingray GTR Edition kit, boasting a new custom interior and a hefty €235,000 ($280,000) price tag.

According to the Russian tuner, the car recently returned to Moscow after a brief stint in Marbella, Spain, where it met up with none other than free-skier and car enthusiast Jon Olsson.

Since we’re discussing its history, we have to point out that this exact car is #3 of a 25 limited run of Stingray GTR Panameras, and it’s wearing a whole lot of carbon fiber, both outside as well as in the cabin.

For the exterior, you get new front and rear bumpers, custom intakes, redesigned DRLs, new hood, side skirts, rear diffuser and a large rear wing that doesn’t retract anymore. As for the interior, there’s carbon fiber on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels, plus plenty of leather and Alcantara.

Put it all together and you could say that spending nearly $300k on this car might be justifiable if money’s not an object and a loaded to the gills with carbon Panamera is your thing .

Watch Car Spontaneously Flip Over In Bizarre Accident 14
Nov
Posted by Sergiu Tudose in Accidents, Offbeat News, Russia, video on 11 14th, 2017

While these types of incidents might look mysterious at first, the culprit is almost always some type of cable or another type of obstruction that went unnoticed by the driver.

So no, there’s no need to call Scooby Doo for this one, since the description of the video pretty much shuts down any wild theory that might have fired up the comments section.

Apparently, “a large construction vehicle had earlier damaged some power-lines. The vehicle that flipped must have somehow latched onto those downed power-lines to cause the flip.”

Of course, from our angle, and because of the poor image quality, we really can’t see any power lines, which just adds to the bizarre nature of the incident, which occurred in Moscow.

We also don’t know anything about the status of the driver or any potential occupants, but we’re hopeful injuries were kept at bay with the help of seat belts.

Russian Bus Driver Ignores Onboard Fire, Calmly Cruises Down The Road 7

In Mother Russia, flames don’t stop you from driving, even if they are inches away.

Take this bus driver, for example, who decided to continue cruising down the road, even if the flames were within arm’s reach.

The man must have probably quickly assessed the situation, deciding that despite the imminent danger of permanent mutilation and even death, it wasn’t quite the time to pull over and try to put out the fire, or even contact the emergency services.

Unfortunately, as the case goes with many of these strange videos, there’s absolutely no background info accompanying them. However, in this case, we do know that a fellow motorist shot it on a mobile phone last month, somewhere in Russia, but that’s where our knowledge on the incident ends.

Reading the comments won’t help shed any light on the case either, but they will probably put a smile on your face, if stereotypes don’t offend you.

Still, quite an educational film, isn’t it?
