All-New 2019 RAM Pickup Conquers Detroit With Multiple 1500 Specs 15

With the latest crop of trucks joining the rest of the industry in offering advanced active safety systems as well as connectivity features, you have to try to not to find a pickup that’s to your liking.

If you’re more of a RAM type of guy/gal rather than a fan of the Chevy Silverado or the Ford F-150, know that you can spec your truck in lots of different ways, from the rugged Rebel all the way to something more sporty like this Patriot Blue Big Horn.

The latter comes with Mopar’s 20″ aluminum wheels, splash guards, aluminum running boards and side graphics, which are available in Grey Metallic or black.

You get a little something extra even for the interior, with all-weather floor mats, more rigid sidewalls and stainless steel embossed sill guards. Aside from that, the Big Horn’s 5.7-liter HEMI engine can sound off through Mopar’s 5-inch custom exhaust tips, available in either gloss black or chrome.

The Rebel on the other hand is what you might want to take if you’re driving over really rough terrain. It has 33″ tires, a lifted suspension with Bilstein shocks and a locking rear differential.

Whichever truck you choose, as long as it says RAM on the front and 1500 on the sides, you can benefit from features such as the 12″ touchscreen display with split-screen capability, the fourth-generation Uconnect system, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, 360-degree Surround View Camera, optional wireless charging, plus Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility – with either of the two available touchscreens (8.4 or the 12-inch).

Safety tech includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Go and Hold, Forward Collision Warning, Ready Alert Braking, Lane Departure Warning and more. In total, the 2019 RAM 1500 has more than 100 safety and security features.

2019 Ram 1500 Looks Boss All Mopar’d Out In Patriot Blue 15
Jan
Posted by Carscoops Staff in Detroit-Auto-Show, Mopar, RAM on 01 15th, 2018

Between all the trim levels, bed lengths, cab sizes, and power/drivetrain options, the new 2019 Ram 1500 offers what promises to be a staggering array of configurations. But if those aren’t enough, Mopar stands ready to kit yours out just the way you want it.

FCA’s in-house parts division has developed a catalog of over 200 new accessories for the full-size pickup… and isn’t wasting any time showing them off, either.

To highlight just some of the possibilities, Ram and Mopar are displaying a fully kitted-out Big Horn pickup at the Detroit Auto Show.

Painted in Patriot Blue, the show truck wears 20-inch alloys (in a two-tone black and polished finish), trailed by injection-molded splash guards, with cast aluminum running boards, grey bodyside graphics, retractable bed step, composite tonneau cover, cold-air intake, 5-inch exhaust tips, all-weather floor mats, and custom door sill plates.

Of course those are just a few of the options that Mopar will offer on the 2019 model, showcasing just one configuration. The catalog ranges from decal graphics to exhaust upgrades, and includes running boards, floor mats, tool boxes, sports bars, splash guards… the works. Customers will be able to order theirs to their individual specifications.

New Wranglers Show Off Mopar Jeep Performance Parts 30
Nov
Posted by Carscoops Staff in Jeep, Jeep Wrangler, LA Auto Show, Mopar on 11 30th, 2017

Mopar is dead serious about customizing the new Jeep Wrangler.

In fact, while the Jeep division has been working on the vehicle itself, the parts division has spent over 100,000 hours building up a catalog of more than 200 parts and accessories for the fresh-faced off-roader. And it’s highlighting those offerings right now with a pair of demo trucks at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The white two-door Wrangler Sport is wearing a cargo carrier on the roof, an American flag hood graphic, Moab trail side graphics, a reinforced spare tire hinge, auxiliary lighting, and black fuel door, sill guards, grab handles, and floor mats.

Even more eye-catching is is the green four-door Wrangler Rubicon, with its doors replaced by 2-inch tubing. It also wears rock rails, stubby bumper, winch, additional lighting, intake snorkel, roadside assistance and first-aid kits, and more.

Both feature Katzkin leather seats and ride on 17-inch wheels wearing 35-inch BFGoodrich tires on a two-inch lift kit. Like what you see? You can order just about all of it (save for maybe the leather seats) from the new Jeep Performance Parts catalog.

If you looked at the new Jeep Wrangler and wondered how you’d customize it, you’re not alone. In fact the manufacturer says that 98 percent of buyers spec at least one Mopar product on their Wranglers. And it’s not missing a beat in meeting the demands of those customers.

Hot on the heels of the all-new Wrangler’s debut at the LA Auto Show, Mopar has released an array of over 200 components designed specifically for it, offering customers a staggering range of customization options.

Far too extensive to list here in full, the catalog includes everything from auxiliary lighting to floor mats. For the first time, Mopar’s offering a roof rack for carrying outdoor sports equipment (like bikes and skis), and a host of accessories for the new Wrangler’s Trail Rail storage system, from a fold-out table to an emergency first-aid kit.

Planning some serious off-roading? Mopar can hook you up with 17-inch beadlock wheels, a 2-inch lift kit, Warn winch, and special off-road bumpers. But even the less hard-core will be served by options like fabric tops for when the roof is removed, optional hood graphics, fuel doors, floor mats… the list goes on and on, ranging in price from $15 for an infotainment screen protector to $1,595 for the winch kit.
