Jaguar is entering into the Super Bowl commercial realm spending the big bucks on this 1 minute slot featuring British actors (villains) and the all-new “Bad” F-Type Coupe. They are all obsessed by power, which the new F-Type has plenty of. Thoughts on this one?

Sometimes it seems the commercials during the Super Bowl each year are in direct competition with each other just like the two teams striving to take home the Lombardi Trophy. It is even more evident with automotive commercials, such as the one Audi will debut during Super Bowl XLVII featuring the all-new Audi S6 and a slightly insecure teenager about to embark on his Senior Prom journey. We have to say, this is a good depart from the abused vampire-themed genre of commercials in previous years. This one is pretty darn good. Enjoy!

The new Scion FR-S, along side of the Subaru BRZ, will be among the most affordable new rear-wheel-drive sports cars around. To demonstrate the sportiness that can be had for just over 24 grand, Scion has released its new FR-S commercial reiterating how the ‘Sport Is Back’.

All together, the new 2013 Scion FR-S commercial seems to be well thought-out and enthusiast driven. Even the drift action will raise the eyebrows of non-carbuffs who may cultivate a desire within them to check out the most exciting thing to hit a Toyota/Scion dealership showroom in a very long time.

The new 2013 Scion FR-S will officially go on sale June 1st with a starting MSRP of $24,930.

Video – BMW Makes Only One Thing: The Ultimate Driving Machine 12

Probably one of the most recognized slogans for a luxury car brand is BMW’s “Ultimate Driving Machine”. BMW wants to be sure that you know the motto by heart, which is why they have released a new commercial titled “We Only Make One Thing”.

Reportedly, BMW will take its reemphasized slogan to new heights as they become crowned the best-selling luxury brand in the U.S. That in itself says a lot about a single car company. I know at least one of us here at AutomotiveAddicts.com choose to drive a BMW vehicle and have been doing so for over 10 years now.

Check out BMW’s Ultimate Car Commercial for the brand that makes “The Ultimate Driving Machine” below.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, Ndamukong Suh, is featured in the latest Chrysler commercial continuing the ‘Imported From Detroit’ theme this time rocking the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300. To celebrate Mother’s Day over the weekend, the commercial has Suh returning home in Portland, Oregon to his mother. For an approach that is much less dramatic as the famous Super Bowl Chrysler 200 Commercial featuring Eminem, this one is still impressive. Good job Chrysler!

Video: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Official Commercial 25

Lamborghini has released an official commercial for the new Aventador LP700-4. The commercial looks like it is straight out of a Jerry Bruckheimer film, which is always a winner in my book.

The new 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is the latest iteration in the Italian Bull car lineup. The 690 horsepower V12 engine is able to propel a carbon fiber composite monocoque shell to speeds of up to 217mph. Power is directed through a 7-speed 50-millisecond shifting transmission. I was totally sold on just some of the specs alone, and now comes a new commercial featuring this new raging bull in action. Now I am even more convinced that this is probably the baddest Lambo ever. Enjoy!

Audi Disses Mercedes In New Superbowl Ad 14

If you like things boring and old school, live in a mansion and throw elaborate dinners where no one eats anything, you should buy a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. If you still have enough income to tip your mailman in hundred dollar bills, but are younger and hipper than the “old money” crowd in the video, you should buy an Audi A8. At least that’s the message I’m getting from Audi of America’s latest video, which hits television this weekend. The ad will also run during the AFC and NFC Championship games, as well as during the Super Bowl. Read on to watch the video.

I’ve always liked Audi’s A8, and I commend them for breaking with tradition and pioneering the used of aluminum body panels in a production car. The new one looks nice enough, but I wouldn’t call it a breakthrough in design or technology. At a starting price of $78,050, you need to have serious income before leasing or buying one seems like a sensible thing to do (unless you’re Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, in which case you need to use the word “Audi” in a sentence to get one gratis). On the other hand, the A8 costs a little more than half of what the S63 AMG in the video goes for, so maybe that’s the price of sensible luxury these days. Of course you could always buy a Hyundai Equus, which stickers at $20,000 less than the Audi, and throw one hell of a party. Not that I’d know this first hand, but I suspect that twenty large buys a lot of recreational pharmaceuticals and, um, professional female companionship.

Michael Vick Makes Appearance in ‘The Showroom’ Nissan Dealership Commercial 17

The most recent news about Michael Vick will tell you that he wants to own a dog again. Although that may not happen any time soon, it seems he is doing well on the football field and on a new Nissan TV commercial. That’s right, Michael Vick stars in a Woodbury Nissan dealership commercial that happens to be rather funny. We think this new type of publicity for Vick may win back the loyalty of those dog lovers after all… maybe. Enjoy!

Dear Playstation: “Gran Turismo 5 Is Gonna Be Awesome” 22

Posted by Larry in Automotive, Commercial, Gran Turismo, Gran Turismo 5, PlayStation 3, video, video games on 11 22nd, 2010

With the NEW set release date of November 24, 2010, Gran Turismo 5 begs to be the best racing simulation game ever. All of the hype and speculation around its release date over the past couple years has had everyone up in arms where some were resorting to playing Forza 3 on the Xbox 360 while hope of an actual release of GT5 faded into the background. Now with a confirmed release date, GT5 looks to be ‘awesome’ as the kid in the commercial below puts it. The GT5 commercial below is rather hilarious featuring Kevin Butler as Sony’s VP of ‘Add More Awesome’ says he is not going to give back the press fleet of cars they used for the making of the game. I don’t blame him, GT5 does look like it has plenty of awesome but we won’t know for sure until two days from now. Now if I could only afford that new 3D TV I saw in the store over the weekend so I can enjoy GT5 in full 3D HDTV bliss. Enjoy the commercial below!

If you have not seen the latest Lexus commercial portraying the new 2011 Lexus IS literally playing the drums, then you are in for a treat. For 2011 Lexus introduces new upgrades for the IS such as LED daytime running lamps (jumping on the BMW / Benz / Audi LED running lights bandwagon) integrated into the headlights and newly designed tail-lamps. Lexus will also offer all-wheel drive on the IS350 allowing all 306hp to be divided among all four wheels.

Check out the new 2011 Lexus IS ‘Music Track’ commercial video and the making of it below. Enjoy!

By now, if you are a true automotive enthusiast, then you already know that the Nurburgring is the benchmark testing grounds for performance cars now days. The latest commercial from the guys at General Motors showcase the new Cadillac CTS-V Sedan on Nurburgring touting its 7:59.32 run and its 0-60mph time of 3.9 seconds. That makes the CTS-V the world’s fastest production sedan shattering the “competition”.

We were already surprised to see the Corvette ZR1 in an ‘Americanized’ commercial recently while the new Cadillac CTS-V commercial only adds to our inspiration. Go America! Enjoy the video below.

“We went to Germany’s Nürburgring to challenge ourselves on the most demanding track in the world. With us, in spirit, was every great car that we’d ever competed with. The BMW M5. And the Mercedes-Benz E63. For it was their amazing abilities that pushed us to refine, improve and, ultimately, develop the world’s fastest production sedan. The CTS-V, from Cadillac. The New Standard Of The World.”
