|Subaru XV Teased Ahead of Frankfurt Show||
Japanese automaker Subaru introduced a teasing sketch of its XV model just ahead of the unveiling of its Impreza-based XV crossover/SUV at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The design makes us feel that the car would be a new rival for the Nissan Qasqai. Subaru has assured that its final production will be based on its concept model which was unveiled at Shanghai Auto Show earlier.
The XV concept is the blending of an SUV in a more fashionable form. The key design concept is ‘Protren’, again the combination of ‘professional tool’ and ‘trendy design’. The concept featured aspects like hexagon grille, winged motif and sharp-solid designed hawk-eye headlights.
The interior features include ‘Silvery White Leather’ which is used as a base material for seats and a large multifunction touch panel display in the center with displays for navigation, car audio and vehicle information.
The concept car had a driving assist ‘Eyesight’ system. It is expected that the production model will constitute the concept features without many changes.
The concept car is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder horizontally-opposed DOHC engine with an output of 150 hp at 6000 rpm and 146 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm coupled with Lineartronic (CVT) transmission.

|BMW 1-Series M Coupe Offers Sneak Peek with a Teaser (Video)||
We have been hearing a lot about the BMW 1-Series M Coupe. The car even made it to the Paris Auto Show, but had quickly drove away leaving us to wait in anticipation again. The latest is that a set of pictures – teasers in fact , have been revealed. And, gosh, look at them, by any standard, they really fascinate us.
A black veil keeps almost all detailing away from our eyes, but the little we get to see makes us go for more. All we get to see is a wider track compared to the standard 1-Series we saw earlier. The teaser also reveals air vents on the rear bumper, the outline of the undercover rear spoiler, and the previously spotted quad-exhaust. Nothing more!
We think the car will come sporting twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder boasting 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp) and could also come only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. More teasers might be on their way. To get the car for real, we guess we need to wait till 2011. And that’s next year, so no worries.
|2014 Lotus Elite Official Details Surface||
The first official details of the 2014 Elite have been released by Lotus, putting an end to the speculative buzz that was generated by the earlier teasers. It appears that the company was attempting to redefine the concept of modern classic – and has succeeded in many ways.
The 2014 Lotus Elite is quite compact – measuring at 4.60m length, 1.90m width, and 1.32m in height- and has a visual style that is dramatic, with a hard top that is retractable.
The car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp) and 720 Nm (531 Nm) of torque. Initial reports say that the company expects the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph), although official data confirming this is still being awaited.
Sources at the company boast that they have created a car that is compact yet spacious, low-emitting and high performance, lightweight and yet very solid. They reaffirm that there is no other vehicle in the market that can match up to it in terms of styling and performance.
The best news is that the Elite will also be offered as a hybrid – which will have a hybrid gearbox (with integrated electric motors) and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS). According to the information received, the Elite hybrid will offer emissions that are as low as 215 g/km.
The vehicle will be on the market in the spring of 2014, and the tentative base price has been set at £115,000 (including a VAT of 17.5%)
|Lamborghini’s Next-Gen Murcielago Teaser Out||
A new teaser image of the beauty that is rumored to be the next-generation Murcielago from Lamborghini has been previewed. The new visuals provide a closer look at this much-anticipated offering.
Enthusiasts expect that the teaser images will follow a similar strategy as that used for the Estoque concept – judging by the detailed close up shots. The initial word is that the car is called Jota and will be a supercar that has a new direct-injection V12 engine stamping out at least 700 PS (515 kW / 690 bhp). Information coming in says that from standstill to 100km/h will transpire in around 3.0 seconds, while top speed kicks in at 370km/h (230 mph).

Design will be along the lines of the Reventon, with new scissor doors that will corkscrew out and up. Word on the pricing is that it will in the same range as the LP 640.

BMW has released another teaser video of the 1-Series M Coupe. Earlier this month BMW had released a cockpit video of the 1-Series M Coupe driving around the Ascari race track in Spain. Features that we can clearly make out from the latest video are the new wheels with that typical BBS-like design, quad exhaust tailpipes typical of modern BMW M cars, and of course the car also gets its own M styling.
As previous reports suggest, power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo N54 inline-six with at least 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp). It will be mated exclusively to a six-speed manual gearbox, which should allow the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds.
